Background
Bethany Project (PVO 2/98) was registered with the Government of Zimbabwe in 1998 as a private voluntary organiza-tion, its registration number is PVO2/98. It was established, as a response to orphan hood emanating from the HIV and AIDS pandemic. Its offices are in Zvishavane town, 389 kilometres south of Harare, in the drought prone regions of Zimbabwe in the Midlands Province. In the year 2023 its operational area covered catchment areas of 14 clinics in Zvishavane District; Ward 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 in Zvishavane Urban and Wards 9 and 17 in Mberengwa District. As mandated by the Government of Zimbabwe, Bethany Project targets young people and children aged 24 years and below.
