“My name is Yeukai Hove, Kudzai Hove’s grandmother and I stay in Ture Ward. My child Primrose Hove got pregnant by another child when she was 17 years old and doing ‘O’ level in Kwekwe. We took our daughter back home. She gave birth to a baby girl whom we named Kudzai. At the beginning of the year 2023 Primrose went back to Kwekwe and was readmitted in Form 3. Since I am out of employment I could not raise funds to buy the baby’s feeds. I visited the clinic and explained my fate to the nurse in charge who then referred me to Bethany Project for help.

My grandchild started benefitting from the infant feeding program in January 2023. She started getting 4 tins of Lactogen 1 then at the 6 th month she received 2 tins x 400g of Lactogen 2 and 4 tins x 375ml of peanut butter. The child is now 11 months old and is currently weighing 8, 4 kilograms which is in line with the child’s growth chart. I want to thank Bethany Project and OAK Foundation for the support because Kudzai is developing well and very health.”
